The Portland Classical Chinese Garden is a beautiful oasis in the heart of downtown Portland. It's easy walking distance from downtown, and this former parking lot It's full of plants indigenous to China that have been grown in the United States. In 1988, Portland and Suzhou, a city in China, became sister cities, and construction on this city-block-sized garden began; it is currently the largest of its kind outside of china.
